Do These Concerns Sound Familiar?

Will my child have access to quality education in English while living in Japan?
How can my child develop 21st-century skills while maintaining their English proficiency?
How can I ensure my child doesn’t fall behind in global education?
How can I help my child freely develop their talents using English?

What is ROBBO?

Developed as an educational program at the University of Helsinki in Finland, the ROBBO system has received prestigious global awards like the Google RISE Awards and the Worlddidac Award (an international education industry prize based in Switzerland). It’s currently adopted by over 350 schools across 37 countries.

In Japan, ROBBO has proven successful in STEAM education, with implementation in programs such as METI’s EdTech initiatives, Shibuya Ward elementary schools, and various international schools in Tokyo.

At ROBBO Club, students use ROBBO Scratch, a programming tool based on Scratch—a popular coding language used in schools. Here, they learn not just programming, but also 3D modeling, circuit design, robotics, mobile app development, and game creation. The curriculum goes beyond Scratch, offering advanced classes in Python, Unity, and more.

Parents and children alike say, “No other school offers this much to learn!”

Three Unique Features of ROBBO Club

1

Learn in English,
Right Here in Japan

Our classes are taught in English, based on a globally recognized curriculum.

Since there aren’t many extracurricular programs in Japan where children can learn in English, our classes are ideal for
English-speaking families
or
returnees who wish to maintain their language skills.

Many of our students also come from international schools.

2

More Than Just Programming!
3D Modeling, Circuit Design, App Development...

At ROBBO, students learn not just programming with Scratch, which is widely used in schools, but also delve into 3D modeling, circuit design, Unity, Python, game development, and mobile app creation. The goal is limitless!

Unlike other schools where students follow the same tasks week after week, we encourage them to use their creativity and imagination to build unique projects.

Our classes use software and tools that professionals use, with computers and mice, offering skills that are practical and truly applicable. You’ll see real progress in your child’s growth as they acquire knowledge that goes beyond basic activities.

Why Such Advanced Classes?

At ROBBO, our lessons are built around mastering skills for robotics creation, aiming to nurture future global leaders and innovators. We hope to cultivate individuals who can apply their knowledge globally and see the world from a broad perspective.

3

Award-Winning,
Globally Recognized STEAM Education

Our comprehensive STEAM education inspires each child to discover their potential.

The ROBBO educational system, developed at the University of Helsinki, has won the Google RISE Awards and the Worlddidac Award, recognized internationally for excellence in education. It’s implemented in over 350 schools across 37 countries, including Japanese elementary schools and as part of METI’s EdTech initiative.

Are you ready to expand your child’s potential and help them develop creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills that connect them to the future and the world?

Parent Testimonials

We spoke to parents of ROBBO students!

Both of my children eagerly say 'OK!' and participate every week.

Parent of a 6th-grade girl and a 3rd-grade boy

My daughter dreams of starting a robotics company in the U.S. Initially, she attended another robotics school, but she felt it focused too much on crafts rather than the core mechanics of robotics. We were searching for a more comprehensive program when we discovered ROBBO around this time last year, and she enrolled immediately. Seeing his sister’s enthusiasm, my son wanted to join too.

We started with online classes, where the instructors shared programming screens and patiently taught the fundamentals, even tackling complex math topics with my then-second-grade son. Once the classes moved offline, they learned with ROBBO’s hands-on tools, exploring the underlying mechanisms. The curriculum was well-structured, covering everything from 3D modeling to building electronic circuits. Even as an adult, I find myself amazed at what my children create.

I wondered if my 7-year-old could grasp Scratch programming, including controlling the PC, but he’s gradually understanding it, even if he makes mistakes along the way. The teacher is patient, making the lessons enjoyable.

Parent of a 1st-grade boy

Through ROBBO Club, my son is enjoying programming to control robots. He’s slowly learning how to think through the steps needed to make them move. By continuing, I hope he’ll develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity. While his English vocabulary is still limited, I also expect his ability to communicate and understand in English to grow.

No matter what career path he chooses, I believe that problem-solving and logical thinking will be essential skills for his future.

I feel that my children are gaining both focus and creativity.

Parent of a 6th-grade girl and a 3rd-grade boy

They say they enjoy it. While they like all the classes, they seem to be having an especially great time with the current lessons.

The instructors teach thoroughly and patiently, which we are very satisfied with. I also appreciate the use of a large monitor during classes—it makes it easier for the kids to follow along. They are fascinated by the materials and enjoy the lessons in STEAM education and robotics.

I look forward to seeing my children’s continued growth with your guidance. Thank you for your support.

Even in challenging moments when my child felt like giving up, the support around him helped him push through. He’s developing resilience, critical thinking, patience, and a sense of accomplishment as he advances step by step.

Parent of a 3rd-grade boy

At first, it was a real struggle, but thanks to the personalized catch-up lessons and connection practice, my child has steadily grown and started to feel a sense of achievement with each session. The positive and friendly atmosphere, along with the detailed guidance, has been incredibly satisfying.

Initially, my son struggled with using the PC and ROBBO Scratch, and my own limited IT skills made it hard to support him properly. There were times when I worried if he could keep up with the lessons. But as the classes progressed, those early struggles now feel like a distant memory! I’m thrilled to see my child actively engaging in the lessons, a testament to ROBBO Club’s well-designed curriculum and instruction.

I hope he becomes someone who can think for himself, adapt to unpredictable challenges, and approach new things with passion and a warm, caring spirit. Ultimately, it would be amazing if he could contribute to solving societal issues or shaping the future of humanity.
